MBFW in Winter
January is always a great start into the New Year because the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Berlin takes place. We are visiting MBFW already for years and even though we prefer the Fashion Week in summer, there is this unique spirit in January. Maybe because it is always super cold, everyone is freezing in his or her clothes and you feel together the “typical weather of Berlin in January”. For more about the MBFW click here.
Regent Berlin Hotel
This time we collaborated with the luxury Regent Hotel, which is located in historic Mitte and hence super close to all the locations where MBFW occurs. When it was not raining, we even walked to the shows or other events. The Regent Hotel is thus perfectly located (next to the French dome and Galeries Lafayette at Friedrichstrasse, close to Brandenburger Tor or Humboldt University to Berlin). The Five-Star Hotel Regent Berlin is inwardly Berlin and perfect for events like MBFW.
Timeless elegance with Biedermeier
We lived during Fashion Week days in an amazing guest room of the Regent Hotel; altogether, they have 156 guest rooms and 39 suites. The furniture is classic Biedermeier and the timeless elegance is visible not only in the rooms but in the whole hotel (especially the entrance is amazing!). We totally enjoyed one of the best view you can get: lying in bed you can see the impressive French dome on the other site of the charming street.
You know maybe already that we are totally in love with bathrooms and at Regent Hotel we were sooo in love with the lovely marble bathroom with its walk-in shower and deep soaking tub. In fact, we went every day into the bubble bath (L’Occitane bath amenities) to relax from Fashion Week and we felt directly switched off from all the fashion trouble around.
Restaurant Charlotte & Fritz
At the Restaurant Charlotte & Fritz, we enjoyed every morning a comprehensive breakfast with fresh juices, delicious bread and different delectability’s. The services was perfect and it was always the best start for the full timetable at Fashion Week. Charlotte & Fritz is also opened for casual dining and they offer a local, fresh cuisine. The interior design reflects the idea of a sophisticated Berlin salon and you can truly feel how the salon culture of the 19th century in Berlin must have been.
When you are not that hungry, you can witness a Classic British Afternoon Tea at the Tea & Lobby Lounge or you visit the Regent Bar with its snacks and light menus. When you come from May to September, you also get light bites at the Summer Lounge Orange. We definitely have to come back in summer!
Relaxation to glow
Especially during Fashion Week, there is no better way to relax in one of the saunas of the Regent Hotel. They have an organic sauna at 60°C, adjustable to a Finnish sauna at 85°C. In addition, you can book massages and beauty rituals to get the deepest relaxation and restore your glow. For the sporty one is a gym with round-a-clock access at the basement of the Regent Hotel.
We were super happy, staying at the Regent Hotel in Berlin during Fashion Week and we really hope to come back in summer! Thank you very much for having us, Regent Berlin!
